Digital Distraction
In
The Workplace

A National Survey of 1,769 Full-time US Employees
Picture

 Survey  Background

Research partners Screen Education, EMI Research Solutions, and Stark Statistical Consulting partnered to conduct a research study on the impact that digital distraction in the workplace has on productivity, safety, and the overall workplace climate.

We also sought to learn whether employees themselves --- the very people who would be impacted by workplace digital distraction policies --- believe employers indeed should impose restrictions on the use of non-work digital content during work.

The survey indicates that workplace digital distraction is a serious problem that kills productivity, compromises the quality of customer support in retail and phone support settings, compromises the quality of patient care in a healthcare setting, and that puts the organization at risk for serious accidents in an industrial setting.

The survey also indicates that a strong majority of employees want their employer to address workplace digital distraction.  To learn more download the report or read it online.
