About

Screen Education has been researching the effects of technology on society and the consequences of screen addiction since 2016. Throughout the past few years we have researched and shown the positive effects of technology free summer camps on kids and teens. Summer camps are one of the only tech-free options kids have these days and due to this, we believe in allowing every child to have a chance to have this experience. 
 
In 2018, the World Health Organization (WHO) established a diagnostic code for Gaming Disorder. Research has shown video game addiction in children has similar affects to a gambling addiction. 

Due to this and our own overwhelming research on children attending summer camps and how this affects their feeling on technology, we want to provide a child with the opportunity to detoxify from technology, whether that’s at a normal summer camp or one that provides a therapeutic approach in combating tech-addiction.

One therapeutic camp focused on gaming addiction, Reset Summer Camp, provides a 4-week detox experience for children and teens suffering from gaming addiction. Summer camps and therapeutic camps, such as Reset Summer Camp, provide a unique experience in this day and age for children and teenagers to be free of technology and connect more with one another and the world around them. ​

Help us provide a child with a tech-free camp experience! Your donation will help us supply scholarships to children wanting to attend a phone-free summer camp who would not be able to without your help. On average, children attend a summer camp for four weeks at a time, averaging a cost of about $2,000 a week. By donating to this scholarship fund, you are helping to provide an experience to a child that will help him/her develop necessary and healthy skills in dealing with technology.
